On July 24, 2025, Centennial Olympic Park came alive with the sights and sounds of Summer Sounds at Centennial Olympic Park, a free, family-friendly event that welcomed neighbors, visitors, and music lovers from across the city and beyond. Hosted by Georgia World Congress Center Authority, the evening was a celebration of community, connection, and the vibrant culture that makes Atlanta shine.
Summer Sounds is a fresh take on the beloved Wednesday Wind Down series, which once filled the park with weekly live music. When the final Wednesday Wind Down wrapped in 2017, it left a noticeable gap in the community.
Eight years later, after answering calls from across the city, GWCCA brought music back to downtown Atlanta with a free event designed for everyone to enjoy — whether they planned their night around it or simply stumbled upon the sound.
The evening’s entertainment featured an all-star lineup of local and regional talent: the electrifying Gritz & Jelly Butter, the smooth grooves of W!ll & The Exclamation, the soulful sounds of Cleveland P. Jones, and the high-energy mixes of DJ Smooth J. Guests enjoyed delicious bites from local food trucks, refreshing drinks, and the park’s iconic skyline backdrop.
From kids dancing on the lawn to friends reconnecting under the city lights, the evening was a joyful reminder of how public spaces bring people together. And just before the music wrapped, a rainbow arched across the skyline: sealing the evening as nothing short of unforgettable.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special night and helped fill Centennial Olympic Park with joy and music. We can’t wait to see you at our next event (fingers crossed!) as we continue to keep the beat going in the heart of Atlanta.
