GWCC Named Atlanta Bridges from School to Work Program’s 2025 Employer of the Year

Georgia World Congress Center is honored to be recognized as the Atlanta Bridges from School to Work Program’s 2025 Employer of the Year, a distinction that reflects our shared commitment to opportunity, inclusion, and community partnership.

Bridges prepares young adults with disabilities for long-term career success through one-on-one guidance, group instruction, and real-world readiness. Their Youth Employment Specialists help participants set career goals, practice interviewing, build résumés, apply for jobs, and develop the professionalism needed to succeed. The program also offers Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) to students ages 14–22, including job exploration, workplace readiness, work-based learning, and peer mentoring.

Employers value Bridges participants because they arrive motivated, eager to learn, and supported by dedicated staff who ensure a smooth onboarding and long-term success. Bridges has partnered with more than 5,300 companies, reinforcing its reputation as a trusted pipeline of reliable, job-ready talent.

GWCC is proud to be among those partners. To date, we’ve hired 57 Bridges students, offering meaningful hands-on experience across customer service and key operational areas. In just the past few months, four additional participants have joined our team, continuing a legacy of inclusion and opportunity.

In announcing this year’s honor, the Atlanta Bridges team shared its gratitude for GWCC’s leadership and commitment to creating pathways to success for young adults with disabilities.

We are proud of the impact our partnership has made and look forward to continuing this important work together!
